Google Pixel Earbuds Review (2020) | Worthy or not | View&Review

Hey guys, Wassup, This is Prince, Welcome to View&Review, your one and only destination for geniune reviews. So today I'm gonna make a review about Google's newly launched Earbuds... Oops!!! Wireless Earbuds.

View&Review Rating: 8/10 🌟

These are the pixels and this is Google's Airpod. See the thing with these products is that I really badly want to like these. See for me there's three marks that you really have to hit as a wireless headphone and that's comfort, usability and sound quality and these honestly struggle to hit at hands.

Comfort:

I think in order, let's talk about comfort first. The fact is that these feel good and they don't feel like I forget these are in my ears kind of comfortable but they feel pretty good. I think my main issue is they just don't fit in my ears and that's kind of the complicated part because you're Tim fit is so subjective everyone has a different ear and for me the air pop rose and the air pods they fit in my ears, they stick in my ears and these guys just won't do that.

Simply the act of just walking loosens them up. So don't even think about working out coz they fall out very easily and I've tried the replacement tips they just can't quite work with my ear as well as I hope they would. But you know again mileage will definitely vary with this one. Everyone's ear is different but for me this is as not that worthy.

Usability:

Let's move into part two which is usability. Now these guys have a lot of surface controls like changing the volume and tap to pause, that type of thing. But you see in readjusting those headphones into your ear if they start to slip out, it shoots off about 20 missed commands at once, bit of a hyperbole but you get what I'm saying that this can be especially annoying if you're just working out or trying to run.

Surface Controls:

Let's talk about the surface controls and honestly that is the biggest perk to these headphones. In my opinion some effectives I love them, I love being able to bring up the volume or bring down the volume without digging for your phone. It's great that it's localized on the actual headphones. They do happen to be a little misfire or a little clunky sometimes but after you get used to it, is actually a very good experience.

Design:

Now obviously the design of the headphone is very different from your air pod but just in a way that it looks and feels regardless of how it fits in my ear. The overall experience the click enos it feels really nice. I think further into usability it's a wireless charging case.

Battery Life:

It has average battery life, five hours as advertised and it gets me through whatever I'm listening to or watching the video.

Now one big complaint that I've seen over the past couple of weeks with these guys out into the wild is the fact that they don't have active noise cancellation but I think it is important to remember that these are not competing with like the air pod pros that the Pro line. These are competing if anything with just the regular $200 air pods not sure of course.

I'd love to have active noise cancellation or active transparency which in my opinion is a highly underrated feature but those are pro features. So that's said these have what's called passive noise isolation which is a fancy term for the ear buds stuff to your ears block out a bit of sound that wasn't nearly as sexy as passive noise isolation but you know as far as I'm concerned passive noise isolation does an okay job and definitely not pining to take these on an airplane anytime soon because I think that the sound of the jet engine would just pierce right through the sound wall other than that it does a fairly good job.

Now what is interesting is that even though they isolate sound internally fairly. Well externally is a very different story. For reference the other day Jake had these guys in his ears across the studio at 50% and I could tell full well what he was listening to that's just how much these guys leak sound, It's incredible but I think you know with that we've made it to the final plot point. How did these guys sound.

Sound Quality:

They're alright, I think first and foremost if you like bass, keep looking. Besides that mids are fairly hollow and the highs are kind of tinny. I think what's odd is they feel like they're trying to go for a flatter sound profile but instead they just leave you with something that sounds just kind of bland. So in a word, Average.

Conclusion:

It's not really committing to any specific thing and I think it is important to say I am of the way air pod sound for just average on-the-go listening. So take that for what it is but if you're on the Android side of things, this is really your best bet in terms of just overall industrial design and software design at boot. This is the air pods before Android but listen this is a very compelling first step for Google into the truly wireless headphone space and I look forward to seeing what the pro version has going for it down the line.
